Jillian McEneaney upon the occasion ofHONORING
her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association
as a 2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete
It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accordWHEREAS,
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and
accomplishments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great
State and Nation; and
This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor JillianWHEREAS,
McEneaney upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2017
Senior Scholar-Athlete; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a
Breakfast on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Kuhl's Highland House,
Middletown, New York; and
Academically and athletically, Jillian McEneaney hasWHEREAS,
distinguished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent,
and maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and
A student at Monticello High School, Jillian McEneaney hasWHEREAS,
a 100.38 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, Student
Government, Interact Club and the Civil Air Patrol; and
Jillian McEneaney is a member of the cross country team andWHEREAS,
both the indoor and outdoor track team, where she holds the title of
captain; and
Dedicated to her community, Jillian McEneaney givesWHEREAS,
tirelessly of her time and energies to volunteering as a Forestburgh
Playhouse usher and a peer tutor; she also works at various food and toy
drives; and
Jillian McEneaney plans to major in engineering or biologyWHEREAS,
at college this fall; and
An outstanding role model for her classmates, JillianWHEREAS,
McEneaney has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
Jillian McEneaney may stand with pride in her achievements,WHEREAS,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her
accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and
Jillian McEneaney represents the potential inherent in ourWHEREAS,
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to

honor this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of
her future; now, therefore, be it
That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations toRESOLVED,
honor Jillian McEneaney upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in her future
endeavors; and be it further
That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, beRESOLVED,
transmitted to Jillian McEneaney.
