A memorial to the Congress of the United States, 2
urging Congress to pass House Resolution 260, the No 3
Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act. 4

WHEREAS, the Federal Government, and other nongovernmental 6
organizations, are wasting the money of American taxpayers by 7
sending more than 40 million dollars each week to the Taliban, 8
an organization with an extensive record of human atrocities 9
which is currently under review to be designated as a foreign 10
terrorist organization, and 11
WHEREAS, reporting indicates that such taxpayer funds are 12
being laundered through multiple channels, with Taliban leaders 13
taking a share of the money and providing aid to Taliban 14
supporters, and 15
WHEREAS, the Taliban allow designated foreign terrorist 16
organizations al-Qaida, Tehrik-e-Taliban, and the Haqqani 17
Network to operate in Afghanistan, and 18
WHEREAS, in the past, the Taliban has used noncombatants as 19
human shields; taken part in mass murder, gang rape, and 20
hangings; and used Sharia Law to remove rights from women, 21
including banning girls from access to education, restricting 22
women's ability to work, and requiring women to be covered head-23
to-toe, as part of broader strategy to remove women from public 24
life, NOW, THEREFORE, 25

Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 27

That the Congress of the United States is urged to pass 29
H.R. 260, the No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act, to require the 30
implementation of a strategy to oppose financial assistance to 31
the Taliban. 32
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be 33
dispatched to the President of the United States, to the 34
President of the United States Senate, to the Speaker of the 35
United States House of Representatives, and to each member of 36
the Florida delegation to the United States Congress. 37
