Full Text of SJR0058 • Home • Legislation • Full Text SJR0058 - 104th General Assembly • Bill Status • Full Text • Votes • Witness Slips Select Menu Bill Status Full Text Votes Witness Slips Printer Friendly Version Introduced Printer Friendly Version Introduced Open PDF SJ0058LRB104 21145 LAW 35471 r 1SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Report 3on Waivers of School Code Mandates, dated February 20, 2026, 4with the Senate and the House of Representatives as required 5by Section 2-3.25g of the School Code; and 6 WHEREAS, As per 105 ILCS 5/2-3.25g subsection (d), the 7waivers were presented to the General Assembly panel 8consisting of the President of the Senate, the Minority Leader 9of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the 10Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, and responses 11requesting further consideration or no further consideration 12were returned to the State Board of Education on or before 13March 5, 2026; and 14 WHEREAS, On March 6, 2026, the State Board of Education 15submitted the Non-Resident Tuition waiver request from Malden 16Community Consolidated School District 84 (W-100-7498) to the 17General Assembly for further consideration; therefore, be it 18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF 20REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the request made by 21Malden Community Consolidated School District 84 with respect 22to Non-Resident Tuition, identified in the report filed by the SJ0058- 2 -LRB104 21145 LAW 35471 r 1State Board of Education as request W-100-7498, is denied.
