ation Act to designate as a component of the National Heritage Area
System the Endless Mountains National Heritage Area in the State
of Pennsylvania, and for other purposes.

To amend the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Manage-
ment, and Recreation Act to designate as a component
of the National Heritage Area System the Endless Moun-
tains National Heritage Area in the State of Pennsyl-
vania, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Endless Mountains 4
National Heritage Area Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. DESIGNATION OF ENDLESS MOUNTAINS NATIONAL 1
HERITAGE AREA. 2
(a) DESIGNATION.—Section 6001(a) of the John D. 3
Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation 4
Act (Public Law 116–9; 133 Stat. 768; 136 Stat. 6163) 5
is amended by adding at the end the following: 6
‘‘(14) ENDLESS MOUNTAINS NATIONAL HERIT-7
AGE AREA.— 8
‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—There is established 9
as a component of the National Heritage Area 10
System the Endless Mountains National Herit-11
age Area in the State of Pennsylvania, to con-12
sist of Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and 13
Wyoming Counties, Pennsylvania, and any por-14
tions of other counties in the State of Pennsyl-15
vania identified in the feasibility study for the 16
Endless Mountains National Heritage Area, the 17
specific boundaries of which shall be established 18
by the Secretary based on that feasibility study. 19
‘‘(B) LOCAL COORDINATING ENTITY.—The 20
Endless Mountains Heritage Region, Inc., shall 21
be the local coordinating entity for the National 22
Heritage Area designated by subparagraph 23
(A).’’. 24
(b) MANAGEMENT PLAN.—For the purposes of sec-25
tion 6001(c) of the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, 26

Management, and Recreation Act (Public Law 116–9; 133 1
Stat. 772; 136 Stat. 6173), the local coordinating entity 2
for the Endless Mountains National Heritage Area des-3
ignated under the amendment made by subsection (a) 4
shall submit to the Secretary of the Interior for approval 5
a proposed management plan for the Endless Mountains 6
National Heritage Area not later than 3 years after the 7
date of enactment of this Act. 8
(c) TERMINATION OF AUTHORITY.—For the purposes 9
of subsection (g)(4) of section 6001 of the John D. Din-10
gell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act 11
(Public Law 116–9; 133 Stat. 776), the authority of the 12
Secretary of the Interior to provide assistance under that 13
section for the Endless Mountains National Heritage Area 14
designated under the amendment made by subsection (a) 15
shall terminate on the date that is 15 years after the date 16
of enactment of this Act. 17
