1SENATE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, Food is the substance by which life is sustained; 

3and

4 WHEREAS, The type, quality, and amount of food that 

5individuals consume each day plays a vital role in their 

6overall health and physical fitness; and

7 WHEREAS, There is a need for continuing nutrition 

8education and a wide-scale effort to enhance healthy eating 

9practices; therefore, be it

10 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 

11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare March 2025 

12as Nutrition Month in the State of Illinois; and be it further

13 RESOLVED, That we encourage all citizens to support 

14Nutrition Month and to consider their nutrition and the 

15nutrition of others in the hope of achieving optimum health 

16for both today and tomorrow.
