1HOUSE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 

3Representatives wish to commend Christine Hammond, Ph.D. on 

4the successful conclusion of her tenure as interim president 

5of the College of DuPage; and

6 WHEREAS, Under Dr. Hammond's leadership, the college 

7advanced the completion of Phase II of its Student Services 

8Center Renovation Project, an initiative designed to 

9streamline access to vital student resources and provide 

10enhanced student support; and

11 WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond spearheaded the College of DuPage's 

12inaugural membership with the Alliance for Innovation and 

13Transformation, a strategic move that has strengthened 

14cross-institutional collaboration and elevated the college's 

15standing as a flagship institution in Illinois and beyond; and

16 WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond played a key role in shaping the 

17college's planning and strategic direction for spring 

18enrollment, resulting in a significant increase in both 

19full-time equivalent (FTE) and dual credit student enrollment; 

20and

21 WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond revitalized several of the College of

1DuPage's strategic plans, laying the foundation for future 

2success; and

3 WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond enhanced the college's visibility and 

4influence through active participation in the Illinois 

5Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA) and the 

6American Association of Community Colleges (AACC); and

7 WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond led the recruitment of new vice 

8presidents for Academic Affairs and Student Services; 

9therefore, be it

10 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 

11HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, tha
